Lavender Mist
The heady scent of blossoms filled me
And stopped me in my track
Mundane task forgotten and so is time
Following the perfume trail back
Over gushing brooks and meadows
Brambles and thorny bushes
And some creepy hollows
Along with the song of thrushes
At Last I discover a hidden glade
Enveloped in a lavender mist
Rows upon rows of violet cascade
Every flower dew drop kissed
I stood enthralled at the glorious sight
No dream of mine could’ve captured
I lay among the flowers at twilight
A sight forever to be treasured.
